Grandma’s Meat Loaf with a Twist
This meatloaf is a great comfort food. It began with grandma’s recipe, but was punched up a bit by adding seasonings and chili sauce on top. A great foundation for a comfort meal.
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 45 minutes
Total time: 1 hour
1 lb. Ground beef
1 cup oatmeal
1 small onion, chopped fine
1 small green pepper, chopped fine
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 cup chili sauce
In mixing bowl combine all ingredients, except chili sauce.
Press mixture into greased loaf pan.
Top with chili sauce and cover with foil.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes.
Remove foil, and continue cooking for an additional 10 minutes.
Remove and enjoy.
